US import prices rose 1.1 percent from a month earlier in May of 2021, accelerating from a 0.8 percent increase in April and above market expectations of 0.8 percent.

 US exports surged 2.2 percent from a month earlier in May of 2021, following an upwardly revised 1.1 percent advance in March and above market expectations of a 0.8 percent gain.
