Mercoledì l'indice FTSE MIB ha perso lo 0,4% chiudendo a 42.651 punti, prolungando il calo dovuto alle aspettative restrittive della Fed, mentre i mercati valutavano le notizie di ulteriori fusioni e acquisizioni per

 le banche italiane. UniCredit ha perso l'1,3% dopo aver smentito le voci secondo cui avrebbe intenzione di acquisire BPER, che ha guadagnato l'1,3% dopo mesi di consolidamento del settore. Poste Italiane ha perso lo 0,8%, mentre Intesa Sanpaolo e Generali hanno guadagnato rispettivamente lo 0,6% e lo 0,1%. Anche i titoli dei servizi di pubblica utilità hanno registrato andamenti contrastanti, con Enel in calo del 3% dopo che RBC ha abbassato il suo rating da “sector perform” a “underperform”, mentre Italgas ha guadagnato lo 0,5%. Tra gli altri titoli in movimento, Leonardo ha perso il 4,9% e Recordati il 3,2%.
